We belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some people call us Mormons for short. We prefer the first title as it clearly shows we are Christian. We hope the way we live our lives shows it even more.
But this site isn’t just for members of our faith. In fact, we hope it won’t be. That’s why we’ve created a faith category. It’s the spot where you’ll see churchy stuff, some of it nondemoninational, some of it LDS. In fairness to those who don’t want religion in their lives or are uncomfortable with LDS beliefs, we will keep these thoughts stored in this category. You can choose to read them or not. When first posted, they’ll appear in the general content feed, but as soon as another post comes up, they’ll move down the ranks–just like any other post. Eventually, you’ll have to search for them by topic. Fair enough? We hope to share this site with individuals of all religions or who have no religious preferences. We hope to have and encourage guest bloggers of other denominations to share how their faith has helped them to cope with adversity.
From the start, we just need you to know where we’re coming from so you don’t think this site is a sly attempt to preach to you. It’s not. For us, we don’t know how anyone can get through the challenges of autism or any type of special need without faith in a greater power. You may feel otherwise. Just know that our faith is at our very core selves as individuals and as a family. We believe in God and in His Son, Jesus Christ. We won’t force our beliefs on anyone and that’s never our intent. But we simply don’t know how to share some of our very best ideas without acknowledging Them and Their blessings in our lives.
